Abisoye Adeyiga
Adeyiga Abisoye is a PhD candidate at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, studying language and media studies. She graduated from the University of Abuja in Nigeria with a Master of Arts Education in English Language. She also holds a B.A. (ED) in English Language from Olabisi Onabanjo University in Ago Iwoye, Ogun State.
She served as the Association of Nigerian Students at UKZN’s president in the most recent term. The ability of new media to connect, influence, and transform the globe intrigues Abisoye.
Abisoye has worked as an online journalist and new editor for several years for prominent Nigerian media companies like Africa Independent Television, Channels Television, and PlusTV Africa.
In addition, she has participated in multiple training sessions on digital marketing and investigative journalism offered by various organisations, including Daily Trust and British Broadcasting Corporations Media Action.
Abisoye enjoys reading thought-provoking books, exploring new locations, and having constructive conversations when she isn’t writing.
